How to get to Lanzarote
Those tourists who prefer to travel by sea can reach Puerto del Carmen (about 15-20 minutes from the capital) and Puerto de los Mármoles (Arrecife). Most travelers, however, travel to Lanzarote through its airport, also located on the outskirts of Arrecife.
It will be very easy to reach the capital of Lanzarote by road thanks to the LZ-20, LZ-1, LZ-2 and the ring road LZ-3.

Tolls to take into account in Lanzarote
There are no toll roads in Lanzarote. You will only have to pay for your car if you want to enter with your rental car in Playa Banca or Playas de Papagayo. The amount of the toll can be around 3 euros per car.
Parking your rental car in Lanzarote
Parking your rental car in Lanzarote can be complicated. In the center of Arrecife you may find some problems to find space. From Autofurgo, if you do not want to waste time, we recommend you to leave your vehicle in a municipal or private parking. A good idea is to use the parking lot on the promenade, in front of the Castillo de San Gabriel.
As we have already pointed out, you will have to pay to enter the Papagayos Beaches by car. You can leave your car in the parking lot and enter walking or cycling, although the walk is long.
